New York politics.

It's been a dirty fight since Lord Cornbury.

Nice post, I agree with you fully. If Rudy runs, I'll campaign for him. I think he's that good. Regarding those southern "deep red" states, I'd suggest they get the hell over it.

But I'm getting off track, Rudy would be my guy too. I hope he takes a shot.

Rudy's one drawback is his "non-intervention" policy while NY Mayor on illegal immigrants, even going so far as to file suit against the Federal Govt to keep them from forcing muni employees to turn in illegals.

Your 1-2 & 5 pretty well finish him in the South. If you combine any two of those items he would fail, but when you line up all three of them--wowzer! He needs to fall back and find something else to do with his charisma...after all there is still some substance required.

"I'd suggest they get the hell over it."

Over what?

Having some northern moderate/collectivist crammed down their throats who is pro-gay special rights, pro-illegal immigration, intent on violating the Second Amendment, whose stand on abortion is almost the same PP and endorsed Mario Cuomo for Governor in 1994.

No thanks.

Now that is a nice idea, wonder why he won't do it? It's almost a sure thing. Inquiring minds want to know, why won't he run against her in 2006?

Are you talking about President Bush or Rudy Guiliani?

Actually Pres. Bush is one of the more socially conservative Presidents we had in a long time.

If the Pres. would get his fiscal act together and tougher on the Dems. (Refuse to let the Dems. walk all over his administration) he would be a great one.
