For our side I assigned Mr. Bat Lady to speak (since I didn't think the BAT costume would be good for the speaker) I will get his speech for a later bump. And of course I will have to tell you about the rude children counter-protesting us.

Silly Bat Lady, Free speech only belongs to liberals and their enablers in the press.

We had about 50-75 people attending and I wished it had been been more. We had about 8 bad tempered, hatefilled "children" who were so disrespectful they started shouting as soon as our MC started the program and they were still shouting when I left.
I give you 3 chances to guess what they were shouting. With the Bullhorn. I recall when the freepers went to counter one of their rallies and I refused to yell over their rally. They had the permit and it was their "right to free speech" even if I didn't agree with what they were saying.
Well now I have experienced it and all I can say is that it is a shame that their mothers didn't teach them an manners. I have never seen such angry, hateful, hatefilled, ill-mannered children in my life. It just makes you wonder if America can survive with this as the next generation.
And then, we have the young lady who spoke for the "Young Conservatives of Texas" I didn't make notes of what she said but I wanted to cheer almost every sentence. She was great! that Gal will shine so bright that she will be a leader of this country and those others will be the ones cleaning the septic tanks in life and that is why they yell and disrupt.

(illegal imigration) has so little public popularity that it is unlikely to become an election issue in 2006 or 2008, either (well, outside of 3rd party "conventions")."

It was great to be there, Bat Lady. The Mrs. is now Lady Cat Herder. We met some wonderful people from all over Texas there Sat.. Told one of the troopers, as we watched the rude children with the bull horn, "too bad the brass cannon isn't functional". His reply: "they were at one time." Keep that in mind.
After Austin, we traveled, appropriately enough, to Gonzalez, by way of the Luling City Market, to watch the reenactment of the Come and Take It Battle of the Texas Revolution!
The Mrs and I were also in Crawford at the Support the Troops event. We're thinking of becoming "professional supporters"! Ha!

the rude children counter-protesting us Upon reading this statement, I pictured bullhorns blaring and terrorist-looking masks to protect their identities (as usual). They're nothing but a bunch of cowards.
