LOL!!! This whole incident is really strange. I still haven't figured out why the FBI is in charge and a criminal investigation is ongoing if they believe it was a lone individual.
Maybe a case of better safe than sorry? It could well have been ism so that's why they are going to town with the investigation. Plus, after Katrina, the feds are going to make sure they are first in so they can't be accused of not caring.
Seems natural to me as an suicide bombing could have homeland implications.
The FBI just wants to cover all the bases to make sure. Mistakes are potentially very costly. Better to err on the side of caution.

If it involves explosives, it comes under the BATF(Explosives). Federal. Same as the Murrah Bldg, though the Murrah Bldg. was a federal building to boot, giving the feds jurisdiction.
