What exactly does this mean, or try to imply? Obviously the person who was killed was killed by his or her own action, just like the guy who blew up the Sbarro joint in Jerusalem was also a suicide.
But how many people intent on commiting the lonely suicide implied by this headline, do so with a bomb? How many take the bomb to a crowded place? My guess is zero and zero.

A bomb is not a good way to commit suicide. To make sure you actually die, and don't just survive as a blind paraplegic, it needs to be a BIG bomb. And making a big bomb these days is a bit more involved and difficult than just buying a shotgun at K-mart and sticking the barrel in your mouth
Somebody either wanted really badly to make everybody finally notice him, or it was a "work accident". I say "him" because women tend not to commit suicide in ways that leave behind a badly disfigured body
