WILMINGTON, Del. (WBOC/AP)- Civil liberty advocates are objecting to New Castle County's new effort to fight prostitution: posting offenders' names and photos on a Web site.
The new Web site features photos of convicted prostitutes and their clientele. The police say they hope it will discourage others from committing the same crimes.
But Delaware ACLU Executive Director Drew Fennell said public humiliation should not be used as a law enforcement tactic. He said the photos are degrading not only to the individual, but the person's family, friends and employer.

LOL!!
Maybe that's the reason they don't want these pics/names made public...Has anyone done a comparison between the ACLU "leadership" and members to the prostitute list???
Interestingly enough, it was PRIVATE humiliation, precisely used as a "law enforcement tactic"-- that was what Abu Ghraid was all about----the ACLU/Nedia turned it into PUBLIC humiliation used as a law enforcement tactic when they posted the pictures world-wide, and they want to do it again. The public dissemination of the AG pictures though is a law enforcement tactic used by THEM against the ARMY/ Think about it. How hypocriticial.
HAVING SAID THAT, and though I hate the ACLU as much as JAY777 or anybody on this thread, and even though the hypocrisy stinks and their reasoning in self-serving and incomplete on this one, I have to say that they are on the RIGHT side of the issue on this. The police in Delaware or elsewhere should not be wasting time on idiocy such as prostitutes and johns, unless they were led there by provable OTHER CRIMES/ they are trying to make their jobs "easier" by doing something they think will "discourage" others from committing the same crimes???
HAH! I wonder if they left out any of their OWN pictures and the hookers THEY used??!!
I object also, unless phone number and rates accompany.
And, having said THAT now, it might help the fight against the ACLU to recognize WHERE they are wrong, and WHERE they may be "right". It does NO good to paint them with such a broad brush, even though it is tempting, believe me. The fight against them will proceed much more smoothly if we deal with them with for example, the differing points of view seen on this thread. They are still wrong 99 percent of the time, by my count.

Anyone notice that its pictures of people ARRESTED for prostitution of solicitation.....NOT people CONVICTED of the crime.
Can't wait till when they start posting your picture for FIRST DEGREE MURDER when you have to defend yourself with a concealed firearm, and happened to be in the wrong place with the wrong liberal douche prosecuting attorney wanting to raise your head on a pike to garner a few votes.
