Sheesh, what is it with the Russian/Post-Soviet military-industrial complex? Chernobyl, the Kursk, Sverdlosk, the Lenin (Nuclear powered icebreaker had something go badly wrong in the 70s) and then all those subs they lost. Not to mention if the new book "Red Star Rogue" is to be believed, one may have had the skipper go nuts and try to nuke Pearl?

Something makes me wonder if there is something in the water there.

It's called "The Lingering Aftereffects Of Socialism/Communism."

Russia has never been a first-world country. Even at the apex of the USSR, they were a third-world country with bought and stolen first-world weapons that they couldn't maintain properly.
