Wonder if this applies to other toxic odors. Here's an interesting factoid found at wikipedia.org:
Nearly 40% of the population is unable to smell cyanide at all because they lack the necessary gene.
OPINION: It's the smells we don't smell that should concern us as much, or even more, than the smells we do smell.
This is not an original opinion, but it is one I agree with.
