"A separate bomb threat earlier in the day at Orange County airport, also in California, has been resolved, the spokesman said."

Resolved, eh? Wow, that was fast - what's the person's name who called in the threat and where are they holding him/her? Oh wait - they mean they've determined the airport to be "safe" right - not that they've actually SOLVED the case! LOL
< /sarcasm >

Too much going on by way of "threats". I think they're trying to lull everyone in to a false sense of security. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll be praying most of the day on the 29th...

Terrorism seminar urges residents to stay alert
State police identify possible targets and warning signs to help prevent attacks.

Remain vigilant to prevent terrorism.

That message was given to nearly 50 residents by state Trooper Daniel Steele during a public terrorism prevention seminar Monday night in Lower Macungie Township's Community Center.

''We're all starting to forget about Sept. 11,'' said Steele, because there have been no terrorist attacks in the United States since then, as well as no known attempts. But he warned terrorists have not given up and ''to police, it's not 'if' but 'where and when.'''

He said potential local terrorist targets include the Lehigh Valley Mall; Lehigh Valley International Airport; Buckeye Pipe Line Co. tank farm — ''anyone who says that's not a target has got to be crazy'' — bridges and overpasses on Interstate 78; popular events such as Bethlehem's Musikfest; and prominent buildings in Allentown.

Other possible targets include schools, hospitals and government buildings, said Steele, community service and public information officer at the Bethlehem barracks.

He thinks a shopping mall will be the next target, because malls have limited security, many access points and many potential casualties. Such an attack would have a tremendous impact, especially before Christmas.

''I keep my eyes and ears open whenever I'm shopping.''(snip)
