I just read that BLOG carefully and I think the writer missed the most important point. He assumes that the spin was created to save OU's reputation and football season. I'll bet that David Boren is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations or has some important friends who are. They'll want this covered up as a Jihadi strike because they won't be able to continue as islamist apologists in that very conservative part of the country.

The Feds want this covered up so as not to cause a panic or backlash against the muslim community. Also so as to not showcase our vulnerabilities. The Jihadis have threatened to hurt our women and children.

Economic viewpoints to be considered: How many students attending college out of state (and paying those larger tuitions) will be brought to a college near home? THAT could cause a sea change shift in academic populations for the foreseeable future. That translates into some fairly BIG $$$ for at least some of the smaller but more prestigious colleges and universities and maybe some of the bigger ones too.

This goes a LOT deeper than football! There will be more of these attacks and it will soon enough become apparent that the Ramadan Offensive is underway. At some point the attacks will be "unspinnable," Although I try to never under estimate the power of liberal denial. But for the rest of us it's a matter of waiting for the main event.

I agree with your thoughts above.

I do hear the liberal talk shows talk about "if we had a hit here, then President Bush, will no longer be able to say we are in (and must stay in) Iraq, to keep the terrorists going into Iraq and not here".

In my opinion, the liberals would prefer an attack on U.S. soil, so they can say "See President Bush was wrong, he lied about keeping us safe".

I would think that a bomb in Oklahoma would have had the radio talk shows talking, but of course, the 1995 OKC blast is out of their minds, (in my opinion, their minds are not large enough to handle 10 years of memories).

Tilt: wasn't the Murah building bombed on 4-19-1995?

Look at the 19's in the date.

In the post #79, april april appears twice.

Does april mean bomb? we know that two bombs at least were at the site the other night.

Need more coffee, all this thinking gives me a headache.LOL.......
