We fared pretty well - TONS of rain, though. It must've rained for 6, 7 hours straight. The winds picked up as the day went on; gusts were near hurricane-strength. It's now down to 35 mph. I sent the wife and kids up to the in-laws in St. Pete: I worked at the paper last night, got home around 9:30 and rode it out with the four cats. We all slept through the worst of it. :-)
The oddest thing about Wilma was that it was the "coolest" hurricane I've ever been through. It got into the 60s; now it's 72. Usually, hurricanes are muggy beasts.
Hope all is well with ExSoldier. Miami got hammered.
Thanks for checking in JJ. Glad you're okay.
Glad you're all ok over there. That cold weather front is what kept Wilma from coming up here and swept it over Florida.
Glad you're okay.
Glad you're ok, jellyjam.
I heard it called "THE SUPERSTORM" tonight.
