Same here.
My statement was in fact inaccurate and I'm glad you both spoke up. Just because we have warning doesn't mean we won't be attacked; however, IMHO is does reduce the chances of an incident at the warned site.
Again, what worries me is misdirection and misinformation. I'm also thinking that all these warnings are 'confessed' to provide a scare factor and make us use up valuable resources.
A TMer posted their 'playbook' and this is part of their scheme - issue false threats to get us rattled. Also, the more false warnings the greater the possibility that we could be lulled into dismissing a valid thread. The boy who cried wolf syndrome, if you will.
Again, looking at history and IIRC, most if not all AQ attacks have come with no immediate warning, but vague plots uncovered sometimes years in advance. That MO worked for them and I see no reason why they would stray from that scheme.
