One dead and several injured in explosion (New York)
One person is dead following an explosion at a housing and storage facility in Oswego County. It happened between Schroeppel and Phoenix along County Route 6 and Bankrupt Road.
Several people were taken to local hospitals with serious and minor burns. Migrant workers were said to be staying inside the home. County officials say with a situation like this, crews from several agencies responded.
No word on the cause of the explosion. At this time officials don't suspect any foul play.

"Apartment fire ruled arson"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: 'A fire in Syracuse this Thursday morning was ruled an arson. Investigators say a tenant at 162 West Brighton Avenue started the fire when she threw a burning object through her own window.
Karrie Kahn, 56, has been charged with 2nd degree arson. Police say she and her husband Mohammed had been fighting all day. Sometime before midnight he locked her out. When she couldn't get in through the window they say she threw the object through the window, ultimately starting the fire."
