The only issue that David Gibbs can ever remember Jesse Jackson and Rush Limbaugh agreeing on was the fact that Terri Schiavo should remain alive.
...
Gibbs called removing Schiavo's feeding tube "barbaric and uncivilized." Florida law does not allow the starvation of animals and the constitution does not allow the starvation of convicted murderers, he said.
...
Felos said faith-based organizations, religious leaders, priests and rabbis distorted the facts in the Schiavo case.

Tampa Attorney Seeks Arrest Of Judge Farnell For Alleged Perjury CLEARWATER, FL---Tampa attorney Mark A. Adams finally won a round in Pinellas County where he's been battling the politically-entrenched law firm of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus and Wein of St. Peterburg and their claims that they can influence members of the Sixth Circuit Court's judiciary
http://www.northcountrygazette.org/articles/102505CourtAccountability.html
Florida Court Hiding From Accountability In Adams Case CLEARWATER, FL--Cameras have been a fixture in Florida courtrooms for over 20 years.
The decision of the Florida Supreme Court to permit cameras in the courtroom allowed millions of Americans to weigh the evidence in the recount debate of the 2000 Presidential election and to reach their own conclusions
FV SAYS: FEMA, the new kitty is hard work. I'm lurking when I can. Thanks to everyone here who is helping us expose the corruption in Pinellas County Govt. Most of Jeb's recent appointees were in the loop re: Terri's untimely, illegal, barbaric murder.
Jeb will never run for President because Terri's memory will dog him for the rest of his life. I believe he's going back to South Florida to try to put it all behind him. It won't work. This atrocity happened on his watch unfortunately for him.

Yes, I have a direct line to FEMA (my new kitten found outside before Wilma). She can cry louder than anyone in S. Florida who didn't prepare for Wilma. Rule no. 1 - fill up the tank before the storm. 2. buy your own water ahead of time. 3. canned goods and maybe a little charcoal grill for use outside.
DON'T EXPECT THE GOVT TO DO EVERYTHING. (I learned that via Terri). They let Terri down - she's deceased because of the govt.
Now all these people want water from the feds but Terri couldn't have one drop. Ironic, isn't it?

Terri was very frightened when she was in California. Very frightened. It's astonishing to me that she could be used for an experiment and taken out of state without the court's permission, (that's my recollection).
IMO, Terri was of the frame of mind even then to want to divorce Michael Schiavo. Maybe that's why they did the implant to begin with, so that she wouldn't be able to say she wanted a divorce or that she was afraid of him.
She was terrified while in California. My sources are confidential so trolls, just don't start asking me to provide evidence.

h'mm. google "Yoshio Hosobuchi"
art. in sptimes 15 yrs ago on this surgery: http://www.sptimes.com/2005/03/24/Floridian/15_years_ago__Terri_S.shtml >> excerpt:
ST. PETERSBURG BEACH - Mike Schiavo vividly remembers the morning of Feb. 25. Usually a late sleeper, Schiavo awakened suddenly about 5 a.m. and started to get out of bed.
"For some strange reason that day, I was just taking the covers off, and then she hit the floor," he said.
[yet another version of what happened 2/25...interesting to add to the mix]
Schiavo's 26-year-old wife, Terri, had suddenly - and as yet inexplicably - suffered a loss of potassium in her body that caused her heart to stop beating. She was rushed to the hospital.
She has been in a coma ever since.
Efforts to bring Mrs. Schiavo out of her coma have become a community crusade.
The city of St. Petersburg Beach passed a resolution Tuesday declaring Feb. 17, 1991, as Terri Schiavo Day. On that day, volunteers plan to conduct a huge beach party to raise money to help pay for an experimental operation that, according to Dr. David Baras, medical director of Bayfront Rehabilitation Center, is Mrs. Schiavo's "last hope."
"The prognosis is poor. Fair at best" without any further treatment, Baras said. "This (surgery) is brand new. It's experimental. It's sort of like our last chance."
Members of the Vina Del Mar Civic Association also have asked city officials if they can name one of the new dune walkovers in Mrs. Schiavo's honor. They hope to raise money by having people buy individual planks on the walkover to be engraved with either their own name or the name of someone they wish to honor.
The operation will be performed by Dr. Yoshio Hosobuchi of the University of California at San Francisco later this month. According to Mrs. Schiavo's family, expenses for the trip to California, operation and subsequent rehabilitation will cost at least $100,000. . . . (end excerpt)
BTW, for this having been so very expensive, and such a community affair,
it is all the more curious that Terri did not receive the followup she was supposed to at UF/Shands --
why not, given what had already been spent?
Does any of this explain why some have been reluctant to speak?

I can believe that harried and unnerved care providers might actually overdose their patients. This didn't have to happen, though. No one had a plan in place. Not with Katrina, or with Wilma. As much as a pain in the ass it is, evacuation is mandatory with the young, the elderly, and the handicapped. If able body adults want to take their chances, it's up to them. If the hurricane swerves or dissipates, it's still better than fishing bodies out of houses or nursing homes.

Re: Jimmy Chambers, it is strange. BB found an obit and I found one other, but no info whatsoever other than what BB posted. I have searched news since then and found nothing. Funny how such a case got into prominence but then suddenly all went silent. I am guessing he took a turn for the worse before any further conflicts developed.

FREEPERS & LURKERS, LET'S NOT FORGET ABOUT SCOTT THOMAS.

It's time to visit Scott's web site. There are pictures of him and a flash movie of Scott. He's another Floridian whose life hangs in the balance due to a looney wife who wants him to be starved to death.

Salvation did a thread on the moving article about Fr. Frank Pavone visiting Terri's grave. If any haven't read it yet, it is well worth reading.
