Although he borders the bottom of my personal favorites list, Jimmy Carter was our 39th president. Given that fact and my respect for that noble office, I do applaud Mr. Carters longevity and extend wishes for his continued good health and well-being.

His achievements were notable Achievements? Is total failure a kind of achievement?

HE's morphed into nothing but a tool for the extreme left of this extreme left party.
Nothing presidential about what he says or does.

The 70's sucked , and Carter was one of the main reasons ...

You are a much kinder person than I am. I'll just say that I hope he gets everything that's coming to him. (In spades!)
To: lunarbicep
Sorry but I disagree.
Jimmy Carter is a worthless piece of shi*. He has spent his entire adult life coddling murderers and dictators in an attempt to limit freedom and weaken the USA.

I just realized that late Chief Justice William Hubbs Rehnquist (October 1, 1924 September 3, 2005), was born the same day as Carter.

Last night I saw him ranting about our new voter ID requirements. It was the final straw. According to him, it was crafted to keep African Americans and the elderly away from the polls. The venom in his voice matched that of every other dem who thrives on hate.
As a Georgian, I am beyond offended. He has disgraced his role as ex-President.
He is a race whore.
When Clinton was sick, I wished him nothing but the best. I cannot and will not do that for carter.

While I wish President Carter a Happy Birthday, I also wish he
and Bill Clinton would do a "Harry Truman" and butt the f out.

Such a pity Alzheimer's picked the wrong former President to afflict. But I guess when you are like Jimmy and never use your brain, Alzheimer's has nothing to attack

Jimmy Carter aspired to make Government "competent and compassionate
Sigh... government is a self serving evil. It only exploit the victims or invented victims for the sole purpose of taking from the delivering employing citizen. Givernment is a voracious beast by definition, necessary evil to unleash on thugs with assets for its own self interests, and for none other, because government cannot deliver, but only take away.
There is no compassion in government and evil fraud in Carter's blackmailing welfare withholding and conditioning government.
