BARF!! Thanks for the link. Code Pink is a disgrace.
bttt
I'm hoping to be at WR again for the Oct. 21 freep!
I sure wish I could have been there for the Rolling Thunder freep! LOL! THAT sounded like fun!! I loved the photos!! Hopefully I'll be there when they are there sometime.
BUMP
See Post 202 and 209 in that thread
The flag Rolling Thunder displayed when they first dismounted, the 9/11 flag, with that vet yelling "THIS IS WHY WE'RE FIGHTING!!!!! THIS WHY THOSE MEN ARE IN THAT HOSPITAL!!!!" got me thinking. I leave Richmond early on Friday so I can take the direct route to Walter Reed. 395 to GW Memorial Pkwy, cross the Memorial Bridge, and work my way over to Virginia Ave, a few jogs here and there, right on M Street, left on 7th Street.
I enjoy the ride, the ambieince of the city, I even enjoy the cab drivers, (to a point),
That route places the Washington Momument in the center of the windshield for several legs of the trip into and through town.
From across the river, in VA, the WM is very visible, being the tallest structure around.
I started thinking last night about how blessed we all were on 9/11 that the idiots who hijacked Flight 93 did not succeed. Chances are, the WM would have been clipped, accidently if not deliberately, or at least been damaged to a point of condemnation.
The cherry trees may have suffered from the fumes, the Mall a smoking crash site, or triage site for the survivors.
Those useful idiots in code pinko, gael murphy, benjamin, all the rest, are either monumentally stupid, or evil beyond belief.
I elect to believe the latter.
Which places them in the same category as anyone else who wages a campaign of intimidation and terror against innocent and helpless citizens.
They are as evil as any extremist who straps on a backpack and walks into a pizza shop or boards a bus.
More evil, because they use the guise of sympathy for the wounded, calling for benefits which already exist, exhorting the administration to "Take care of our wounded" while giving money to the very terrorists who inflicted those injuries.
More evil, because they use the freedoms of our democratic republic to espouse an appeasemnet policy which would spell their own doom.
They would negotiate the terms of their own surrender gladly, and bow their heads to the swordsman.
They are vile, despicable, evil people.
Oh wait..Thats a good thing...never mind

Support our Troops ..... Bump
It was very funny.
Thanks, concretebob!
That's always nice to hear. And you're right, the freepers have lots of pretty ladies.
I hope to see you October 21!
GREAT JOB! When will the pics be up?
Just got back from the pro-troop rally. The American patriots stood on all four corners with huge flags and pro-america and pro-troops posters held on high. Since there were only four corners, code pink had to hold their rally away from the site. The most heartwarming was a military man jogging by.....His comment -Its about time
There was every age group there from an elderly WWII veteran, a retired Navy Commander to young families with children. It was truly a quilt of what America is all about. I met the most wonderful lady who though has not signed on yet, loves Free Republic. She is always lurking and recommending the web site to others. There was also a husband & wife and a friend that showed up with these huge flags. I asked them if they ever visited Free Republic. They said no but would now. You knew immediately they were proud to be Americans. The majority of people driving by were beeping their horns, alot of woohoos etc but that military man jogging by said it all when he said, Its about time.

There are some pictures there, along with a debrief.
Last Sunday could not have happened if it wasn't for Protest Warriors. Amazing group of people.
They hate to be out numbered.
Do they mind being outclassed? ;)
Pushing their crap at a military hospital is no class. They will either give up or the Code Pink central office will regroup. If Freepers can keep on the heat they will fail with this game.
