enforce laws that are presented in front of you,but you claim to believe in those laws, thats your problem.
I can't enforce laws in front of me. They're too fast!! I am getting slow in my old age. I do try to obey some though.
well your line of reasoning sure is aligned with law enforcements position, regarding pot laws. So you see it as youthfull mistakes.I still cant see how you see it that way, unless some kind of official blinder is up.I Dont think you are a bad person for not smokin pot,if you did drugs,I'd say you were a troubled person. But i don't consider smokin pot as "doin drugs".MY judjement on your character is not what it came over as,not bad,in character, just obedient to the letter of law..like law enforcement must uphold abortion rights.
I never meant any disrespect to you. My belief is to live and let live.I wont take your vapor rubs,if you dont take my pot!
To be honest, I've made so many "dumb" comments that I really haven't articulated what you think is my position. If you're looking for an argument or to insult people, you won't find it with me. I can't judge your character, I don't know you nor have I seen you. Though you must be at least pretty solid, having served in the military for 8 years. You have made your position clear that all you do is light up a little bit with your friends. That's fine and I said that before. I just said that I have other things I do with my time. I'm not going to be one of the ones breaking down the door to take you away (actually since I'm not in law enforcement, I couldn't anyways). I worry about my own faults before what I perceive as others' faults.
I can see from serving in the military where some of your positions come from. It is a different environment and there are "other" things involved. I haven't been in that environment so again, I can't really say for sure about it. In my own, I have never felt a need to use marijuana or any other drug. I'm not going to dispute that at all. You have your opinion and I have mine. I just haven't chosen to insult you over yours.
Thank you for your service to the country by the way.
My belief is to live and let live.I wont take your vapor rubs,if you dont take my pot!
We all have our beliefs. I personally don't drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, or partake of any drugs. That's my personal choice. Others have theirs. I don't advocate things like giving crack to six-year-olds though. Vapor rubs? Now how can I rub my vapors? They don't even work. Don't worry, I won't take your pot--share it with your friends instead:).
Sorry bout that comment,But if you dont like the way im livin'then just leave this long haired country boy alone!"
"A watched pot never BOILS".... You don't get anything right, do you?
Pot, however, does burn, with a distinctive pungence, and remarkable ability to make men play jazz, and rape women... It makes them drive Volvos and vote for John Kerry. At least the pungent part is valid.
Please get professional help for your condition. You are still obsessing...
Not really, that is an overgeneralizing...
1. Regulation of trade. Marijuana is not a native plant species to the Western Hemisphere and is still imported or smuggled into the country. It is called Indian hemp because it came from India (and other parts of Asia), not because of indigenous Americans who were inadvertently mislabeled as Indians.
2. Regulation of interstate commerce. Marijuana does not stay in one state. People tend to move it around for sales, use and cultivation.
3. Adults supply minors with the substance in opposition to the wishes of their parents.
This is the sole issue of importance if you are really a libertarian, and/or limited government (these two are not the same) advocacy. If you want law enforcement to protect you from people, like myself, who will act to preserve the integrity of their familial relationships and not call 911, then you must also respect that we have rights as well to demand our private actions in response are also lawful.
To me, no law matters after one of my beloved ones are corrupted or molested in any fashion (physically or mentally).
Aside from the three above legal issues, the so-called libertarians want to have their cake and eat it too. They want no government interference in their private lives, but will run like the cowards they are to government bureaucracy when I want to eliminate their interference in my private life.
Although I am one onerous son-of-a-bitch about it, why should that be a crime or a sin if nothing is held to be sacred?
You equate smoking pot with murder and child molestation? Wow.
The dopers, like the homo activists after the Boy Scouts and school children want to molest the minds and bodies of the young ones. This is the only way either of them can maintain their habits.
Well, that has to be one of the most illogical statements I've read on here in quite awhile. You must have watched Reefer Madness a few times too many.
Illogical or not, I am not going to be a very nice person about it either. I am not a passive sheep you are accustomed to in this feminized male culture.
Grow up and be a man for once in your life son...
I would need major reconstructive surgery to be a man....
"Next up to bat ... moog" (crowd cheers)
"He's going for the cycle" (crowd cheers)
:)
Hysterical rubbish. How would one's giving drugs to a minor maintain one's own habit? Do alkies habitually give booze to minors to maintain their habit?
It's also grown here ... in fact, it's reckoned to be the #1 cash crop of several states.
Marijuana does not stay in one state. People tend to move it around for sales, use and cultivation.
The feds do have the Constitutional authority to regulate actual interstate trade; what they don't have, the claims of the FDR courts notwithstanding, is the authority to regulate intrastate exchanges.
Adults supply minors with the substance in opposition to the wishes of their parents.
This should certainly be against the law ... but note that there is no evidence before us to show that this happens any more often for any other drug than it does for alcohol.
*channeling a ca guy* Why, because, um, um, um.....if you want to talk about alcohol, go and start a thread for yourself.
Sorry, my 595 needed a /sarc tag. Early in the thread somewhere I think I posted how someone was bound to make the stupid comparison that he did.

There is just a little problem with your reasoning (if you could actually call it that). Homosexual activity must have a partner. When someone gets high, he is influencing his own body, and mind.
You are sounding as irrational as your co-conspirator. You should seek professional psychiatric help for your feelings of grandeur, and your compulsion to continue posting such nonsense. They have the best drugs.
The article is stating facts, not in evidence. It is a summary of OPINION, not study. It starts by claiming "addiction", but quickly restates it to "dependency". It does not back that statement with any facts, as elsewhere throughout the article, it opines. It is just another attempt by the poor "guy" (that you apparently are joined at the hip with) to get his name on the board again, as "the pot police"
Paging Robertpaulsen, somebody wants your job...
It certainly doesn't mean that government forces you to behave in manner that a majority of voters have deemed "responsible" ... that's socialistic nanny-statism.
