Skateboards, sex toys, women's undergarments and a box with bones are among the items investigators removed last week during a search of the Richmond apartment of a 38-year-old man questioned in the disappearance of Taylor Marie Behl, according to court documents released yesterday.
Detectives also removed cell phones, a machete, a .32-caliber cartridge, discarded clothing and the dirty laundry of Benjamin "Skulz" Fawley -- one of the last people to see the 17-year-old Virginia Commonwealth University freshman before she disappeared the night of Sept. 5.

Indeed. Her friend said she called it a fling.
Ah, the smearing of the victim begins.
"Fawley is being held without bail in an isolation cell at the Richmond City Jail after being arrested Sept. 23 on 16 counts of possession of child pornography. The charges were the result of a search of Fawley's home on Sept. 16."
Held without bail sounds pretty serious. This gal seems to have made some exceptionally poor choices. And what's all this about she was going skateboarding, I haven't heard that before. Wasn't this man a little old to be still into skateboarding? And isn't this young woman, even, a little old to be into skateboarding, in the dark?
I don't want to smear her. I think this guy, Ben Fawley, preys on young coeds and, with the child porn charges lodged against him, possibly children and babies.
Okay, this is the cast of characters as I have been able to figure out.
Ben Fawley (aka Skulz or Skulz67)-according to Taylor's friend, Taylor and him had a fling; Ben says they had sex Sept. 5 before he walked her to her dorm at 9:30 p.m.
Jake-new boyfriend; had dinner with him on Sept. 5; he has been ruled out supposedly
Jesse Schultz, Ian, and Kevin-skatebhoarders going skateboarding with her that night
Jesse Schultz - skateboarder that failed polygraph on two questions whether he knew her and whether he had been in her car; scent dog tracked scent to where he lived or had been from her car
At one point, I heard someone about either the skate boarders or at least Jesse being someone at the Pizza shop where she had dinner--with Jake, I believe?
Sometimes a victim becomes a victim because of unwise choices. That doesn't excuse the crime but sometimes victims end up in situations of their own making.
I hadn't heard that, thanks for the info.
Thanks for the link. This does not look good for Taylor. Her mom thinks one of those necklaces may be Taylor's. And if the cell phone is hers, then I can't imagine her being somewhere where she can come home. I hope I'm wrong, though.
You're absolutely right. None of this is good. I just read something about they are going to put flyers at the State Fair.

She was 17 years old. Many 17 year old girls are still in high school. Like young men who grow up skatboarding - it is something they enjoy and continue to pursue. Poor choices? That is an understatment! But, given her age and given the fact that it was the first time for her to live away from home (new-found freedom), I am not surprised she made the bad choices. I am sad she did, but not surprised.
Thanks for keeping these updates coming. Most of the shops around me have fliers up about her disappearance, so I think about her quite a bit. It's nice to be able to come to this site and get the lastest info.
Hey, anytime. That's what us FReepers are for. :-)

Why would you post something like that? The point is she is missing. Maybe dead. That's the focus, not trying to find a way to blame her. It doesn't belong here.
Word is that few if any knew how old the guy was. He doesn't look anything near what you would expect for a 38 year old.
I wasn't blaming her. Just made a statement. As a mother, I can imagine what her mother is going through and I feel for her. However, a 17 year old with a 37 year old just isn't smart, IMO, especially given that he was into child porn. Not smart at all. And she considered it a "fling"? Do you think she was smart?
It's irrelevant right now. Have a little respect. I hope you don't get within earshot of her mother.
