Nice of John Kerry to show up for a vote. Too bad it wasn't to do something constructive

Might I add how disappointed I am at Hawaii's senators for voting with the forces of unreason, extremism, pathological partisanship and obstructionism? Though not from the state of Hawaii or a resident thereof, I have spent a lot of time there and love the generous and good hearted spirit of the people of that state. Hawaii's senators helping to further the forces of extremism in Democratic politics and in representing Hawaii does dihonor to the wonderful Aloha spirit of that state and Hawaii's great tradition of people working together.

Sorry, the Yes-No column divide didn't post properly. Here's the link to see how each Democratic senator voted.

I know, I was really surprised by Patty Murray's vote. She's usually an abortion/feminism fanatic.

They'll vote no next time -- unless they don't plan to run for re-election. All the money for the dems comes from Soros or Hollywierd and if they want campaign money they have to do what the move-on crowd tells them.

Good to see Joe Lieberman aligned with the forces of reason AND
as usual, my 2 arm pit senators from MD performed in their usual manner of obstruction AND
so much for me ever saying anything good about Evan Bayh. What a useless waste of space.

No. The average Hoosier thinks Bayh is conservative.

So I read from the article that Roberts was approved by a MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS (23-22) as well as a vast majority of Republicans?

Funny, if the Democrats had been able to pull off a feat like this, you would see blaring headlines about "overwhelming bipartisan support" and editorials gushing words like "mandate" and "direction" (as in surely this is the right one).

I'm waiting.

Still waiting...

Guess I better pack a lunch.

Patty Murray's yes vote is nothing more than a rare episode of lucidity in someone who is arguably one of the most supremely stupid women to hold public office.

We got Murray, and we got Cantwell... and now we got Gregoire. We are a state of backroom party whores.

That is not hard to believe. They knew they would not be able to stop the confirmation of Roberts, so it was easy for them, none of which will run for President, to cast that vote. It will just allow them to claim fairness when all six of them vote against the next nominee. The hardliners in the no camp are either running for President, or so beholden to the hard left that they voted with their base, thus Hillary and Joe Biden's no votes.

Is it just me? Every time I hear Lieberman speak, all I can think is that he needs a good laxative pill, or maybe an enema.

There were actally people who thought him presidential material? (shudder)

Supposedly Russ Feingold is running for President. He wants to make sure his appointees would get through the Senate.

If I were a senator considering voting against judge Roberts, I would have voted yea just to avoid having my name appear on the same list of that collection of losers.

"So I read from the article that Roberts was approved by a MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS (23-22) as well as a vast majority of Republicans?"

I call BS. The article throw Jeffords in with the Dems in order to create a majority side.

FACT. Dems split (22 - 22) - a perfect toss up. Man, that had to be planned. The majority neither support nor oppose Roberts.

"Russ Feingold (D) WI"

Surprised the heck outta me! He of the "No Patriot Act" and Campaign Finance Reform (what a joke.) I think he was the only one to vote against the WOT as well.

Senator Kohl. Kohl died a long time ago, he just hasn't fallen over yet. I'm sure a new staffer or junior intern told him how to vote, LOL!
