WOW! I think this essay and the graphic layout is gonna leave a mark on those goofy libs and the MSM. And now, according to a report I saw yesterday, Bush is organizing another hurricane to hit before the season ends. The reporterette didn't identify whether it's Dem or Pubbie, rich or poor storm. Just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, we've been getting reports here in California that we can expect our natural gas heating bills to rise significantly because of the damage done to the gas producing areas in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, I may not be the sharpest pencil in the drawer, but I know for a fact that California gets a large volume of natural gas from the gas fields in Western Canada. I worked on the constuction of a 42" pipeline as it passed through the state of Washington back in '81. And, that 42" line was buried side by side to an existing 36" pipeline.

Last time I looked, those gas fields in Canada were nowhere near the Gulf and the path of Rita.

Okay, rant over. Time to get busy with "stuff" around here.

Pt. Arthur , TX, is very Democrat and has a majority black population. They even have Mardi Gras celebrations. I believe the school district is still observed by the feds. They are under scrutiny of Texas Education Agency because the school board members (majority black) can't agree on anything!

Southeast Texas is primary working class and has an above average unemployment rate.

The biggest difference between Pt. Arthur/Beaumont and New Orleans (besides smarter elected officials, food and music) is lack of a good public transit system. That's why most poor people own cars.
