Thanks for your reply, lonestar. I have been thinking about you. Yes, if rotting food and a few downed trees are the worst, you surely are counting your blessings.

I have family in Beaumont, and saw some pictures of their house after the storm - they evacuated before it hit, of course, but their house didn't escape damage. Don't know how much - two trees through the roof - they're not sure how much damage is done inside - no power or water there yet either, so they haven't been able to start cleanup.

lol You all messed me up this morning what with the original thread getting pulled. I saw in My Comments only 3 posts and wondered what the heck!

AH Visualops..."caught" redhanded. Had the "perfectly" formatted thread, got up at 5:00 a.m. to post. Viewed it and it was fine so posted. One picture was the dreaded red x and asked that it be deleted. Happened again although AGAIN in view (thread view not "my comments" and it was fine). Again asked it be deleted. Went back to bed frustrated. Found a missing quote this morning before I attempted to post again. Still not sure why it showed up fine when I viewed it.

ANYWAY, after all that I had my greeting all nice and framed...just reviewed this on "reply" and to my absolute dismay that was wacky too! ANOTHER delete request!

Dolly...think we're BOTH jinxed :o)

Hey lonestar. So glad to hear you and your mom are safe and sound. Is mom doing okay with the change of environment???? I really questioned whether dad was Alzheimer's rather than just dementia until we dealt with the change in environment thing. (I took him to his Florida place for two weeks in Feb. He did great there but BOY it was hell to pay when we got home. Over a week period he totally lost it! Fortunately we were able to stabalize it with additional meds but are VERY careful to keep things consistent. (not that you have a choice!) Anyway, thinking of you friend.

Okay...I'm am not a cauliflower lover but your recipe sounds good snugs. Since dad moved in with us I have to regularly cook veggies (when it was just Mr. D. and me...must admit the only veggie I regularly made was asparagus with "burnt" butter (my favorite) or salad. Mr. D. is thrilled now cause he LOVES all the things I HATE like broccoli, green beans, cauliflower. I usually serve them up HUGE portions and give myself a little iddy biddy piece (or like 3 green beans). It's gotton to be a daily joke! :o) They always "check out" and comment on how much I serve myself AND eat! I think dad enjoys that as much as watching "Wheel of Fortune" :o)
