Hey lonestar. So glad to hear you and your mom are safe and sound. Is mom doing okay with the change of environment???? I really questioned whether dad was Alzheimer's rather than just dementia until we dealt with the change in environment thing. (I took him to his Florida place for two weeks in Feb. He did great there but BOY it was hell to pay when we got home. Over a week period he totally lost it! Fortunately we were able to stabalize it with additional meds but are VERY careful to keep things consistent. (not that you have a choice!) Anyway, thinking of you friend.

My mother has been saying, "I want to go home" for 7 or 8 years even when she IS home. So, actually, she makes more sense now!

She is in a hospital bed so running away is not a problem. She enjoyed the trip over--sat up looking out the window the entire way. She has it made--fed and watered on regular basis. Some days I would almost trade places with her. She has not a care in the world.

I do plan to go to the A&M/Baylor game tomorrow for a little entertainment.
