Thanks Billie.
Was I supposed to answer that question?
Funny FReeper!
would you like your pix on our group montage? (no names assigned) Will be posting DRAFT shortly
I just love your calendar pages. They are so precious. How is niece?
oppsy?
:-0
I am standing at the back of the group.
My camera has finally been sent off for repair so hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be in a position to post another updated photo.
I do have a cheap digital OK for shots in good light outside but not really up to indoor photography. I so miss my digital camera.
I don't have a pix of you. If you send me a link or a pix via email I would be glad to include your pix in this montage. I didn't check everyone's profile page. I will send you my email addy if you don't have your pix on a server somewhere.
AND I HAVE MAYBE MISSED SOMEONE ELSE COMPLETELY, WHO IS AN OCCASIONAL OR REGULAR VISITOR HERE
Maggie, the pix I have of you is very poor quality.(from your profile page)
Here is a draft so far:
I'll have to con my image off my dad.
He has the only 'normal' pic of me in uniform.
The others are grainy, fuzzy, poorly done, not here, or have me looking at the camera guy like I'm about to eat their heart after force feeding them the camera.
Yum. That's sounds scrumptious!
I hadn't really noticed the link or rather figured that it was still out of commission and never tried it. Oh well, better slow than never, lol
great. I will FReepmail you my email addy..Your dad can send it to me (or you can)..just make sure you put a note of your screenname in the subject line. I dont open any attachments from unknown addys.
you know I think I will just FReepmail it to the entire list. I have NOT gotten much done on the home front. Photo work is therapeudic for me & I needed it today.
Some good good looking FReepers there, Dolly. I'd send you my pix but I seem to have lost track of it after 39 years. ;-)
CAULIFLOWER CHEESE
1 large Cauliflower
300ml (½ pint) Milk
110g (4oz) Cheddar Cheese
3 tbsp Plain Flour
50g (2oz) Butter
25g (1oz) Fresh Breadcrumbs
½ tsp Mustard
Nutmeg
Salt & Black Pepper
Trim the cauliflower boil in salted water for 10-15 minutes or until just tender.
Drain and place in a flameproof dish.
Add the milk, flour and butter to a saucepan.
Heat, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens, boils and is smooth.
Allow to simmer for a further 2 minutes.
Add three-quarters of the grated cheese, mustard, a pinch of nutmeg and seasoning.
Cook for further minute stirring well.
Pour the sauce over the cauliflower.
Mix the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs together, sprinkle over the top.
Place under a hot grill until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
I personally do not use breadcrumbs or nutmeg and I actually like this dish as a main meal.
DROOLING!!!
I have a head of cauliflower & all sorts of cheese in the frig. Guess what I am going to make in a bit? Think I will add some sauted onions, garlic & salsa to it. Just had a banana. first food so far today
forgot to add my idea. will saute the onions & garlic in butter (I only use butter, olive oil or canola oil) & use that as the basis for roux/white sauce. Will make a little thincker & just stir in a couple tablespoons of the salsa just before serving.
I'll have to con it from him, as mentioned, but willdo!
And I fully understand about not accepting e-mails form unknown addies.
Currently there is little food , ice, or gas. Long lines for all and food is being furnished now because all frozen foods have been bar-b-qued or have gone bad.
A tree (huge pine) fell on the corner of my mother's BR. Two huge pines fell across our driveway and were laying across the street. I feel really fortunate because I know several people who had trees fall into their houses and they will have to move out.
I have a lot of rotten food in the frige but that, too, can be replaced.
I'm just glad I got my mother out before it hit because she would have had to be air-lifed out as all streets and roads were blocked.
We are happy and cool at my brother's house in College Station and I'm planning to go to the A&M-Baylor game Saturday. My friends at home sound like zombies and relate tales of lines and waiting for ice. Most have generators now but have to be careful with gasoline because supplies are very limited and 4 hour waits are common.
Things like this happen to other people and we watch it on TV. It seems unreal.
