I have heard about this for a few days but have yet to see a photo. Does anybody have one they can post?
Can Freepers get together and pay $1,600 to obscure the government's outrageous plans to use the Islamic crescent pattern for the 9/11 ground level memorial at the jetliner crash site in Pennsylvania?
I am not surprised. If it resembled a cross, they would have asked for $10,000 to bury it.
All anti-religious zealots should burn. This country was created for us to worship without fear and Judeo-Christian beliefs serve as the foundation of major celebrated moral principle in this country.
I do not feel compelled to hide our heritage, but to celebrate it.
It wasn't a Star of David. It was a statue of David, a sword in one hand and the foreskins of a thouand Phillistines in the other. The script on the statue read,
"The model for the U.S.Navy Seals."
The anti-circumcision,anti-war crowd was against the statue. They were in a foul mood. They had to ride to the statue in noisy buses.
You clearly did not read the whole article. The person who made the complaint was a Rabbi. He thought it would be disrespectful for goy children to play on a geometric figure that resembled a star of David.
And I'm willing to bet it was a Muslin or Muslim-sensitive who complained.
America has six-pointed stars all over the place (public and private), including Christmas decorations, and the six-pointed star does not have any specific Jewish religious signifigance. But your garden variety anti-semites probably don't know that. Two triangles is a pretty basic geometric shape that even appears in Muslim designs.
