He broke for the second half of the panel with something like, "I understand we have Tom DeLay himself outside the studio door." Stay tuned, we'll be right back after the commercial break.
Then he did an invterview on the spot with DeLay with no interruptions and without the usual closure (humor piece) on Special Report.
I thought it was outstanding.
Yes, I did see the Hume/Delay interview. Hume, as usual, did an exceptional job. Later, Delay was on Hardball and his lawyer appeared on Larry King Live and Greta's show. Again, this is how it's done.
