Just now on Hannity, Sean read an article from the "Chronicle" (Houston Chronicle???) which indicated Earle had stood up at a Democratic Fundraiser and announced he was the man who would take down Tom Delay. Does anyone have a link to that article?
Watching John Gibson right now. He has Judge Napolitano on and asked if there was any chance the charges were "trummped up". Napolitanos answer "YES".
Hey - I resemble that remark. State Bar ethics committee takes stuff extremely seriously (too seriously sometimes) and doesn't appear to be politically weighted.
"Mussolini and his fascists were the sworn enemies of democracy. Mussolini said that fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it represents a merger of the state and corporate power."
Actually, it would be very sweeet to discredit Earle. And Delay has made it official that he is stepping down "temporarily."
I think we need to finish this issue and hopefully that will include proving Earle's utter bias, use of his public office to exercise vendettas and political plans and such.
Congratulations on your fight. (thumb up)

What's with you and your attacks about Hannity not visiting the troops? This is just one of another thread I remember you hijacking and getting off-topic on. Did Sean promise you something and let you down?
Remember when the top NBC? guy was caught on tape saying that troops in Iraq were shooting at journalists? Man I wish someone would appear with a tape of this.
Sorry...I don't recall the promise; regardless, I do know that he has done a lot for the troops with his vocal support and the charity benefits he helps promote. Your obsession with this tells me more about you than any shortcomings Sean may have.
As for the kook who wants to turn this into a discussion about why Sean Hannity hasn't visted the troops .. take some satisfaction in knowing that he is sitting on his Pity Pot about now, since this story has turned out to be accurate.
Jay Sekulow was on Hannity and said that such remarks could get him disbarred in most states on ethics violations.
Earle has already won. He has achieved what he wanted to achieve. He does not care if Delay is found innocent or guilty. The indictment was what he needed to bring Delay down.
I would like to find the video or audio of Ronnie Earle talking at this fundraiser. Wonder if anybody has a copy of it.
Most being the key word. We are talking about Texas here.
Not if the charges are laughed out of court as they were when Ronnie Earle indicted Kay Baily Hutchinson when she first ran for the Senate. The presiding judge threw out the charges against Hutchinson making Earle and his partisan dem backers look like hacks and fools. Can anyone say backlash?
My prediction (fwiw):
1) Watch for some type of minor scandal to be raised in the coming months against a key Democrat, probably in Congress. Maybe Pelosi on an ethics violation, or Maxine Waters or a rising star in Democrat circles in Texas.
2) The case will not make it to trial. Charges will be dropped or a judge will throw it out.
3) Earle's career is over (possible disbarment hearing?)
4) Delay will retire from Congress to become a lobbyist (ala Daschole).
While I do understand your sentiments, this is a different age than what Republicans had to endure in the past. Already, I am seeing a vigorous defense of Delay, which is unusual since many don't even know the details yet.
The new media is something we didn't have with these attacks in the past...not to mention, that with America more politically polarized, there are more people who will see this for what it is.
It's kind of sad, but I think the Democrats defense of Clinton (and his many scandals) has changed the way some people will view any scandals in the future. If Clinton can be rehabilitated with charges that were true, Tom Delay certainly has a chance if these are lies. In fact, if things are as they now appear, there is a good chance this could even harm the mediacrats more than Delay.
What on earth was he trying to convict Kay Baily Hutchinson for?
Actually, when it came time for Earle to put on his case after opening statements, he refused. IOW, he had no case, and never did have a case against Kay Hutchison.
