I agree with much of what you said. Ann preaches to the choir. She does not win any converts. This, of course, is great for Kamikazi conservatives, the all or nothing folks who scoff at compromise and incrementalism, and think that losing is noble.

I still like to listen to Rush, but not when he's in his ranting GOP cheerleader mode. I switch off between Rush and Dennis, depending on the topic. I hope I'm wrong, but I have the fear that for the rest of this week, and for God knows how long afterwards, Rush will be raving hysterically about Tom Delay. If I listen to talk-radio during that time period, it will probably be to Prager. He has a very calming effect, which comes in handy when Rush is in one of his going apes**t moods.

Like you, I also enjoy Tony Snow and Walter Williams.

Hannity is a fine interviewer, but as with Laura Ingraham, you won't hear anything insightful from him.

Leave Ann alone! In each of her books she has changed the political discourse and has brought up subjects and points that many people weren't debating and discussing before she did raise them. She has every right to critique Pat Tillman. Statements like that give aid and comfort to our enemies both at home and abroad, whether you all believe it or not. Think I'm being harsh, WAR is HELL. The Civil War was ugly and so was WWII. Lincoln suspended habeas corpus and FDR interned people from all Axis countries. Ronald Reagan was able to win the Cold War without firing a nuclear shot, hopefully GW can learn some listens from him to promote greater democracy in the Arab Islamic world. We have a job to do and I have no use for traitors. Timothy McVeigh, George McGovern, John Kerry, and Adolf Hitler all served in the military, that doesn't give them a life long pass. Who does Tillman think he is? In many ways Iraq is a more important war than Afghanistan because it is the heart of the Middle East, we must strive for victory and if we have to draft than SO BE IT. I would be scared to fight in a war, but aware that freedom is not free. It's likely not going to happen since we are too spoiled and politically-correct to call Arab Islamic society evil.THESE PEOPLE WANT WAR! Why can't people remember 9-11, and the rest of the attacks that Muslim extremists have perpetuated upon us over the last 25 years. It won't go away until we end their hope and will to fight. We must face this through war or democratic subversion. Perhaps Don Feder was right, we are addicted to bumper-sticker patriotism. Yes Tillman has free speech but so does Ann, I, Rush, and all our troops. By the way, Pat didn't die a hero's death, he died in a tragic accident caused by friendly fire.
