"... plagued by a culture of corruption ..."

Memorize that .. it's the latest talking point.

During the WH press conference today, the idiot from ABC (Moran ?) made almost the exact same statement.

These people are so transparent.

This is the "politics of personal destruction" in full action. The dems have no agenda for 2006 so they think they can win if they smear the repubs. It's not going to work.

I'm worried about the Drier appt though .. too many of the House dems like him .. not a good sign.

If one wanted to see a "culture of corruption," a good place to look would be in Baltimore, under the administrations of Tommy D'Alesandro, Jr., and Tommy, III, both of whom served as Mayor.

Measured by indictments, the younger one was more corrupt. He beat a rape charge as a young man. Then as Mayor he was part of an indictment of several officials for corruption, including a City Councilman, the legendary "Mimi" DiPietro.

The corruption charges were dismissed, when the chief witness "disappeared and could not be found." About a week after the charges were dropped, the witness surfaced in Las Vegas, staying at a casino with purported ties to the (shh) Mafia (shh).

Why do I mention all this from a generation ago, now? Why Nancy Pelosi grew up as Nancy D'Alesandro (and was vriefly my next-door neighbor). She grew up in a true "culture of corruption" since she was the daughter of one and the sister of another Mayor of Baltimore who ran the cash-and-carry D'Alesandro machine in that City.

And now you know the rest of the story.

And her hero BJ Clinton, was found guilty of lieing before a Federal Grand Jury, was Impeached, and disbarred from practicing law. And her hero The Beast was caught stealing furniture and other items from the White House.

OK. We own the Justice Department.

Time to start investigating and indicting what has been going on in Lousyanna for the past 60 years. Then we should start on Chicago, San Fagscisco, Filthydelphia, Beantown, Washington DC, Lost Angeles...

There are plenty of genuine targets out there, chock full of genuinely corrupt Democrat politicians.

Oh, and we should reopen a murder investigation on Chappaquiddick Island which was conveniently deep-sixed 35 years ago. "Time passed" didn't seem to bother investigators going after Southern racists murdering civil rights workers. How about a Senator murdering campaign workers?

While we're at it, we should reopen the stonewalled investigations of Waco, Ron Brown, OKC, Chinagate, Riady,... the list is practically endless. This indictment/prosecution stuff is a truly target-rich environment if we go after the other side!

We should turn this into a can of whoop@$$ the other side begs for us to close.

Oh really? House Bank and House Post-Office scandal, Dan Rostenkowski, etc. Just to name a few Dem-dominated corruption scandals.

You forget that, for Liberals, history began this morning...

Well, that settles it. Every Republican should step down from office, immediately. That way the ultra ethical, straight arrow Democrats can step in and repair the years of damage.

How is a charge considered evidence? Does Pelosi believe we live in a land where a person is considered guilty before being proved innocent?

Thank you, thank you. I'm not a native of Maryland but some of the history makes my skin crawl and the machine here is still quite strong.

With all of the corruption in the RAT party Pelosi has one hell of a nerve. Pelosi seems to have missed the theft of our future MD Senator Steel's identity and credit report by Schumer's staff. Schumer I'm sure is totally innocent...my rear end.

Maybe we can start a thread of RAT corrupt politicians but it would have to be trimmed down to a month or less because of all that's coming out of Chicago and LA.
