"But, I see too many people here circling the wagons around a guy that has not represented the interests of conservative thinking and that is, limited government."It's not about whether he's doing what you think is best, it's about whether or not he's guilty. I note by your third party usage of "republican" that you may not, in fact, be a member of the Republican party?

The Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media have been on the prod for DeLay since I can remember. Remember how they reacted when he had the courage to stand with the NRA in public? Other Republican politicians don't have the guts to do that. Hopefully this indictment will be shown for what it is, a political assassination attempt.
BTW, over on MSNBC their talking heads were beside themselves with joy over this news. You would have thought they had hit the jackpot at Vegas.

The indictment is as bogus as a $3 bill.Speaking of $3 Bills, Delay's district is getting $1.6 million dollars in pork barrel money this year. (That's 533,333 $3 bills.) I have no use for the guy and I hope his next job is working as the janitor at the Austin YMCA.

Oh, and don't forget about the 99 cent bill:

ITS THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE CHARGE

Those of us who have been following this saw this coming for months. Standard M.O. by yet another corrupt Democrat.

Why don't they just get rid of DeLay the good, old-fashioned legal way -- condemn his neighborhood and give it to developers under eminent domain and make him move to another district if he wants to run again, since they'll be taking his residency away.

The indictment is totally about the 2006 elections, and the pace of the prosecution will be handled so as to make sure that it will not be completed before those elections, if the Democrtatic prosecutor cannot convict Delay.

When, and When Delay gets this charge thrown out of court he should file a civil lawsuit for malicious prosecution, and a formal complaint with the Texas Supreme court to have Ronnie Earle's law license revoked.
I'm tired of seeing 'RAT prosecutors abusing their positions for political purposes. (see Ruch Limbaugh v Palm Beach DA)
I would just love to see a 'Pub fight like hell for something.

Earle is an old time southern Democrat who is scared and demoralized as he witnesses Texas and the rest of the south reject the once powerful Donkey Party.
As as result, Earle is blindly and blatantly lashing out as someone in their dying moments often does.

I just read the indictment. Delay is named at the end, almost as an afterthought, of being guilty of having "waived application of articles 12.01 and 12.03 of the Texas code of crimninal procedure to the indictment presented herein."
Yes, it's bogus.

I agree and I hope he's exonerated. But I still don't like anyone who spends my hard earned money on PORK. Good Riddance!!!
