The entire lay leadership team of the main Anglican church in Iraq is presumed to have been killed after they were attacked while returning from a conference in Jordan.
Canon Andrew White, of the Foundation for Reconciliation in the Middle East, who is the clergyman in charge of the church, said: "Anglican leaders in Baghdad have been missing for two weeks and they are presumed dead." he was told that they had been attacked the day before while returning from Jordan on the notoriously dangerous road between Ramadi and Fallujah.

Quran 8:12 I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle.
Quran 8:57 If you gain mastery over them in battle, inflict such a defeat as would terrorize them, so that they would learn a lesson and be warned.

Why were they there? Why do Christians as well as Muslims feel the need to proselytize.

Wonder what their pacifist brethen in England think? They're too busy complaining about the 'leash girl' and her 'horrible crimes' against terrorist suspects.
Beheading of peaceful Christians, even members of their own denominations is not a major concern.
If anything, this is an example of why we should take back our churches. Instead of giving up, I applaud the Christians who stay to fix their own denominations.

Wonder what their pacifist brethen in England think? I think they'll apologise for offending the Muslims in Iraq.

Why do Christians as well as Muslims feel the need to proselytize. Have you ever read a Bible?
St Peter started the Christian Church in Iraq five centuries before Mohammed was born.
Christians have had a historical presence in Iraq that predates Muslims.
To: jmc1969
"Since that time [1999] the church has grown from a handful of worshippers to a congregation of hundreds. For them to lose their leadership in this way is a sad and terrible blow. I urge Christians everywhere to continue to pray for the Church in Iraq in these even more troublesome times." Elsewhere in the article, it states the congregation numbers 800. That's impressive and a sign that Iraqis thirst for Christianity.

I was going to suggest that you stay around and learn something about Christianity, but after reading your latest post, why don't you just go back to the baseball threads.
