The AP could not wait to even wipe the drool from their mouth, to get this one on the wire.
While the MSM is already implying his guilt, the courts will determine that.

How come we can never get rid of the criminals in the Democrat party, like Bill and Huillary Clinton, but Republicans cannot even get past fake media scandals?

Is there a Republican pol that this guy hasn't gone after? How many people know that a grand jury is a rubber stamp in the hands of a partisan prosecutor.

I'll probably get flamed bad but - Delay has been sailing too close to the wind for too long and, accordingly, has given the Dims a good target, especially in any case brought by a Dem DA in front of a (Probably) Dem leaning Grand Jury. The travel junkets, cozy relationships with lobbyists, etc. were needless, careless things on Delay's part and, if nothing more, hint at very poor judgment on his part.
That being said, I'll wait to see the details of the charges and responses since, as is well known, an indictment from a Grand Jury is very, very far from any proved case.

The lovely Ronnie Earle strikes again. What a farce. This will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend. Bottom line here is that Delay is just too damn effective for the crooked Democrats to tolerate. Think Newt.

Meanwhile, Judith Miller is still in jail "protecting" her source. Is anyone in the media the least bit interested in finding out who she's protecting?

If going on junkets and having close relationships with lobbyists are "sailing close to the wind", then every Senator and Congressman would currently be under indictment.
This is pure political hatchetwork, plain and simple.

Ronnie Earle is the only Democrat in the state of Texas with any power to harass Republicans and this is what he is doing. He tried to nail Kay Bailey Hutchinson soon after she became U.S. Senator and the charges were virtually laughed out of court.
Still, the Dems and the MSM got what they wanted which was to get Delay out of power, at least temporarily and to taint his name.
