Anyone on this forum know the difference between an indictment and a conviction? No wonder many think the GOP is spineless. An activist prosecutor who is a fund raiser for the Democrats indicts DeLay and the SEC is looking into a stock transaction of Frist and many here are tucking their tail between their legs and running for the tall grass.

Arrests and indictments aren't what hurts. It is the convictions that leave a mark. You can be arrested 100 times, and that really means nothing, but that one conviction is what buries you.

Why is that bad news? I'd rather be a Republican voter who cares about the candidates and the issues, than a Democrat who (in fable) would vote for a yellow dog if it was in his party.
