I suspect the DNC is also watching the DA in Palm Beach County and pushing every angle to get to Rush as well.
IMHO, the DEMS are doing a divide and conquer process with the American public and our Country.

Right. All indications are from those who have come forward from the Texas delegation have said there are apparent holes in this indictment. I say the Texas Democrats and the national DNC are grasping for straws.
Why is that bad news? I'd rather be a Republican voter who cares about the candidates and the issues, than a Democrat who (in fable) would vote for a yellow dog if it was in his party.

No. All it takes is a law that is incredibly complex, a prosecutor on a mission who doesn't care about the law or the predecents, and a grand jury being led by the nose. The case is pretty simple, although the MSM mouthbreathers will try to make "the conspiracy" sound ominously underhanded. As I understand it:
(1) Delay's PAC accepted corporate contributions, which is perfectly legal. The use of the money is restricted, not the solicitation or receipt of it.
(2) Delay's PAC contributed the corporate funds, which it could not use in Texas state races, to the RNSEC. This is also perfectly legal.
(3) The RNSEC -- that's Republican National State Election Committee -- then contributed to Texas State races. This is also perfectly legal.
The prosecutor takes three perfectly legal actions and tries to conjure a crime. He does this by alleging that this kind of transaction is money laundering -- i.e., that the RNSEC simply took the Delay PAC contribution and passed it back. But this is not true, unless someone at the RNC bungled. Knowing several of the RNC lawyers and how carefully the RNC has monitored this sort of thing over the years, I very much doubt that happened.
On the contrary, the RNSEC would presumably have taken the Delay PAC contribution and put in a soft money account. The RNSEC would then be perfectly free to use that money in any state where corporate contributions are permitted. The funds the RNSEC sent back to Texas would have been "hard" dollars eligible for use in Texas. This sort of swap of soft for hard dollars has been done routinely over the years by both parties. There is nothing illegal about it. It is also perfectly routine for the Party committees on both sides to work hand-in-glove with outside groups to ensure that the right mix of hard and soft dollars are available when and where needed. Granted, the FEC keeps changing the rules on permissible coordination all the time and the whole subject is a minefield, but since the RNC was involved, I'm reasonably confident that the whole thing is appropriately documented and lawyered.
The prosecutor is advancing a theory of law that, if impartially applied, would require jailing just about anyone in either Party who has held a senior finance or campaign operations post in the last 20 years. Of course, impartial application is not what he has in mind. He has already confused and stampeded a gullible grand jury and hopes to do the same thing to a petit jury (and/or hope to get lucky with a corrupt 'rat judge). But if the law is followed -- as the law has been understood by both sides for a generation -- I'd be willing to bet that Delay is in the clear.
P.S. I've not read through the nearly one thousand posts on this thread. If this has been explained with greater precision by someone more knowledgeable than me, my apologies for the duplication.
