The bleating about Earle being a partisan witchhunter is laughable.Interesting post and link. Thanks for that. I really have no idea who this guy is. But he does not seem well liked.

Did you actually read the article? This is the most pathetic example of a politician grandstanding to prove his "bipartisan" credential I have ever seen. Turning yourself in of a completely inconsequential violation is pathetic in the extreme. Funny how eager you are too give creidblity to transparent Hysteric Leftist propaganda. Why is that?

They are busy giving credibility to the Hate Bush Left and wonder why they continually lose the political PR wars! It does not show how "smart" they are, quite the opposite in fact. We really are the STUPID party some days. We are playing by the Left's rules on the Left's home field.
You do know about Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radical, don't you?
Consider Rule #4 which states:
Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.
If this were a moderated debate class, fine. The rules would be applied equitably. But this is politics! It's like a streetfight.

Now that my BP is at an all time high from following links that went to updated stories, I finally found something on a blog (of course one that has been after Delay):
Before the recent conspiracy counts, the investigation was more narrowly focused on the state election code. By expanding the charges to include conspiracy, prosecutors made it possible for the grand jury to bring charges against DeLay. Otherwise, the grand jury would have lacked jurisdiction under state laws.

If we aren't willing to go to the same lengths to destroy them as they will go to destroy us...well, guess.
When Sandy Burglar was excused, the rats sensed weakness and realized that no matter how low they go they don't have to worry about being held responsible for their lowliness.

There is nothing to this. In Texas a GJ can indict a ham sandwich. In a lot of cases, the GJ's will decide they don't understand the case and will indict just to get rid of it and let the lawyers work it out.

Just in time for the 2006 election campaign. What a coincidence.

Democrats should be ashamed of this DA, whose record includes baseless accusations against people like Senator Hutchison. Every Democrat District Attorney or other local official who faces voters around the country must answer for this outrage. Will they misuse their office to attack political opponents? Will they abuse power like Earle, or like the Florida DA who went after Rush Limbaugh? This is a disgrace.

I say a pox on all their houses. Anyone committing a crime ought to land in the dock for it. But I don't see anyone in NO or LA being given a perp walk. And I haven't heard that Chuckie "Free Credit Reports" Schumer is under investigation. My beef is that the entire cesspool needs draining, not just selected bits.

One count of criminal conspiracy. That seems somewhat tenuous.

First of all, telling you you make me sick is hardly an attack on you. However you calling me an IDIOT most certainly IS an attack.
As far as your examples, those that believed Clinton guilty where Republicans and the left whether they believed him guilty or not did not waiver in their support.
As for the campaign finance irregularities they GAVE BACK the money to the Chinese and the Monks so that was an admission, whether their was an indictment or not.
Finally, you are missing my point. I didn't say Frist or Delay were not guilty. I was referring to the fact that people like yourself immediately throw the towel in, wave your arms about and go into your the Henny Penny routine
