House Majority Leader Tom DeLay indicted on one count of criminal conspiracy by Texas grand jury, according to Travis County clerk's office.
This coming from a woman who leads a party that has a former Klansmen, impeached judge and former President....Oh we should all run and hide on this one.
Ann Coulter: "If you are a Republican in Washington and you haven't been indicted, you are doing something wrong."
Yes the D.A. in Austion is a polical hack. Totally discredited by any that pay the slightest attention, this is just more of the same from that hack.

I agree!
Thanks for the info....I wonder what percent of cases are thrown out by the Grand Jury on an average....any idea?
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
The GOP membership can always vote no. I am not about to second guess Hastert at this point.
Band together and do NOT "delay" our fight against democrats.
Generally people are not indicted at this level, unless they believe they have something concrete.
is there a difference?
The question here is whether this is "issue advocacy" or contributions. I'm not sure what Texas law is on campaign finance or issue advocacy, so I can't comment on it other than speculation.
Michigan law and Federal law prohibits corporate money from being spent on campaigns (although corporate money is allowed to be spent on ballot question committees.)
If the mailings used magic words like "For, against, support, oppose, defeat, or elect", it probably broke the law. If it instead said something like "Call John Doe, and thank him for standing up for freedom", then it most likely would have been legal, unless Texas laws are stricter than most.
My guess is that this is a case of "gotcha" or a "Hail Mary" pass by the dems (especially considering Ronnie Earle's past), since I do not expect Tom DeLay to sign off on something like this without experts crossing every I and dotting every T. He knows there's a target on his back.
This looks like a witch hunt to me.
Personally I think Texas sucks. I was born there and have a bit of experience with it, but Dems there rival the ones in Mass.
Doesn't this give you flashbacks of the clinton impeachment? Whenever the RATS are about to take a bullet, this kind of stink is raised by the party of TRUE CORRUPTION. I'll just bet Larry Flynt is working overtime digging dirt.
Please enjoy your future of complete political irrelevance if this is what you really think. Now I know this really blows the minds of the Cast Iron Conservative but there are not enough of you 100%ers to elect a dog catcher, much less anyone to national office. But I guess you all would rather elect someone who disagrees with you 100% rather then someone who agrees with you 92% and will listen on the other 8% huh?
I know. I was being facetitious. I just forgot sarc tags. Sorry ;)
"This is the guy that hides under his desk when confronted with his inaction and pandering to those millions crossing our borders illegally."
Well, that sorta seems to be going around in DC, doesn't it.
Yes, it does.
Time for the Republicans to play hard ball and use their power and let the dems their ticket is about to be punched. The dems hated DeLay because DeLay gave as good as he got. The democrat cannot stand that.
Unleash the hounds on all of the corrupt democrat senators and representatives with vengence. Give no quarter to any whimper. Put the most conservative judge on the supreme court and tell the democrats to shove it where the sun don't shine.
I forgot the Sarcasm tag..
Really? There had been some recent reports that Earle lacked jurisdiction since Delay was not a resident of Travis County.
I suspect we'll see the same outcome here as we did with Kay Bailey Hutchison.
