Don't want to sound confrontational here but truthfully you make me sick.

Yeah, nothing confrontational there. Obviously you don't know the people and the media. Are you an ostrich and live with your head in the sand? If the media was able to blame Bush for Louisiana's and the media's shortfalls in the hurricante; obviously this will stick to the majority of voters. And the deal with FRIST does stink...way worse than this Delay crap. Anyone that had stocks in the late 90's understand what he did...and from the facts I heard on fox news he had to lie/mislead about his blind trust or worse. So at a minimum he's a bit too dishonest for me. I won't defend a crook or liar just because he's a Republican (that's FRIST).

As far as Delay goes, I don't believe he's guilty. The RATs were after him since day one and this RAT prosecutor indicted a ham sandwich.

So take your comments and stick them where the sun don't shine.

brian wilson saying KayBay was once indicted and then it was thrown out.

Not accurate. She was indicted, the case went to trial, the DA rested without putting up any evidence with the judge finding her not guilty as a matter of law. But the indictment was not 'thrown out'.

Tom Delay is from Texas (whisper "texas")

President Bush is also from Texas, the big oil state ("big oil")

Tom Delay has been indicted ("like Ken Lay and Saddam Hussein")

President Bush is his friend. ("best friends")

President Bush needs to resign ("he's from Texas")

Subtract the "just" and you got it.

No, I "got it" just the way I said it, thank you very much.

"Time to rally behind DeLay."

Conventional wisdom is that people abandon a sinking ship no matter if it is right or wrong.

Associating one-self with a pol under indictment is not something most image conscious politicians will do.

They will wait until the case is settled to see which way the wind is blowing from Mr. Delay.

Indictments are easy to get. Any DA worth his salt can get a grand jury to indict, it has been said. Getting the charges to stick are another thing.

So DeLay and the GOP are in the position of saying those people on the grand jury are stupid and easily fooled?

When the GOP listens to only the inside the beltway group, they fall apart.

Would you actually read the thread, I know you can.

Delay has been indicted on one miniscule count by a known politically motivated democrat DA(i.e the Kay Bailey Hutchison case)

I think Judge N thinks he is a nutball. You could kind of tell when he was talking about how the Guy indicted himself and has been the only person ever to do so.

On DeLay quits Congress, the charges will be dropped. How far do you think a Democratic prosecutor will go? With a weak case, enough to secure a win for the party. It has nothing to with right and wrong here and everything to do with raw, partisan politics.

In addition to my other post...

So when is the indictment party you're throwing. After all it sounds like you think this is good news since it doesn't mean much and there's nothing to fear.

He's the Travis County DA, a solidly-Democrat stronghold. As long as he continues to pursue Republicans, he would be re-elected if caught naked in a barn with a Merino sheep.

Doesn't say much for his constituents.
