I thought this was of interest. Looks like the " Handful Of Gimmees And The Mouthful Of Much Obliged" folks are up to their usual.

Now we'll see who the real politicians are.It has nothing to do with the safety and welfare of the citizens, and everything to do with how much money they can squeeze out of "the other guy".

Lets get to the point:
Water turned into the most dramatic and drastic destructor of life and property.
Levees broke, and there are reasons:
Louisiana's politicians sidestepped securing of the the lake front, while the river did get secured by the Army Corps of Engineers.
Congress allocated funds, to secure levees, Louisiana diverted these funds towards other worthy projects such as a courthouse.
Federal funds became available but found rejection to "save" contributing State funds.
None of those levee reinforcing projects found resonance towards securing N.O. and Louisiana.
The Governor, State Legislators, U.S. Senator Landreau and her brother Lt.Governor Landreau along with this Mayor need to give answers.
Investigations, hearings, court proceedings, are a must towards ascertaining responsibility and/or neglect including penalties/dismissals to prevent future needless losses of lives.
Why is it that public officials should not be held to the same standards as corporate officers after scandals broke out.

THIS JUST IN FROM ZURICH, SWITZERLAND:
"Signs are beginning to appear outside banks here asking Americans wishing to establish a secret, numbered accounts to take a number from the machine provided and form an orderly line along the front of the building so as to not impede pedistrian traffic on the sidewalk.
Some banks are also offering free limo service and bag handling for contractors/"depositors" from the U.S. Gulf coast.
