You might want to look for a documentary Bill Kurtis(yes, he's a gun grabber, but otherwise he does a good job) did about 1-2 years ago on NOPD. If I recall it was pretty scathing and did not spare anybody. I'm still looking for it and if I find it I will Freepmail you with an air date(ain't Tivo great!).

Thank you for the information about Kurtis's show on the NOPD. It sounded interesting, so I did a web search which led back to used2BDem's
post #46 here But not surprising. A & E had an "Investigative Reports" with Bill Kurtis on this morning called "Cops or Criminals", ABOUT the NOPD. It was pre-Katrina and a scathing condemnation of all the corruption within the PD.
