Well said. It seems like all the perfect people have been saving their stones for her. God doesn't expect us to be perfect, but for some reason there's plenty of people who do.
He came for the sinners, not the (self)righteous.

I've never seen methampetamine. I have seen rock cocaine - when an undercover narcotics officer came to speak to my Substantive Criminal Law class in law school about 12 years ago. He passed around evidence bags with various substances in them, as well as paraphernalia. It was an eye opening experience.
I do not live in a glass house on the subject of methamphetamine use, or any other illegal drug use for that matter. I will admit to consuming too much Diet Coke.
I do have a sister-in-law who is an alcoholic (and likely a drug user) who has lost her two children, any hope of employment, who is institutionalized and riding on the backs of the taxpayers and stressing her parents (retired) beyond endurance. It's a pathetic situation to be sure - but it all started with her choice. With methamphetamine clearly known to be highly addictive - the first choice is literally the first or second use.

"He was bare-chested underneath his blazer. His pecs were rippling in between the black lapels; and seeing where the jacket seams hit his shoulders, I could tell just how broad those shoulders really were. I know I'm in good shape, but man, if this guy comes at me, I'll never have a chance to fight him off."
Sounds like the beginning of those Gad awful Harlequin romance books And she tells us he forced her into the bathroom to shower yet with nothing but a towel between them? And after a dose of crystal meth? "The drug can either be snorted or injected, or in its crystal form 'ice' smoked in a pipe, and brings on a feeling of exhilaration and a sharpening of focus. Smoking ice results in an instantaneous dose of almost pure drug to the brain, giving a huge rush followed by a feeling of euphoria for anything from 2-16 hours. For some this could result in obsessive cleaning or tidying, but for many the biggest bonus is the sense of sexual liberation which can result in mad, abandoned sex for hours - sometimes days - on end." Sounds like the prefect "date" drug" Sorry folks but she STILL isn't telling us EVERYTHING

"She writes that she asked Nichols if he wanted to see the danger of drugs and lifted up her tank top several inches to reveal a five-inch scar down the center of her torso -- the aftermath of a car wreck caused by drug-induced psychosis. She says she let go of the steering wheel when she heard a voice saying, "Let go and let God.""
One addiction slipping easily into another.

I agree that she is not telling us everything. I am glad that she lived through it but I do think there is more to her story.
As for this part of your post " For some this could result in obsessive cleaning or tidying, but for many the biggest bonus is the sense of sexual liberation which can result in mad, abandoned sex for hours - sometimes days - on end."
What a dilemma that must pose for gay men. Judging from the increase in AIDS rates I'm gonna guess cleaning and tidying lost out.
