Panhandle broadcasting: Air America crumbling?

Air America, the liberal radio counterpart to Rush Limbaugh, is now asking its listeners to send in money, leading some analysts to say the network is "crumbling."
The network, featuring voices including Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo, has developed a program where people become "associate" members by contributing cash.

These guys were doomed from the start. What companies are going to advertise on a network that is inherently anti-capitalist? Air America was never started to be a long-term business. Air America was only supposed to last until Bush was defeated in the last election.

Without taxpayer subsidy, or illegal obtained funds, none of the leftist organs (radio or TV) can stand on their own. Wonder how many companies would support public television if they couldn't deduct the contribution and/or receive favorable PR from it.
