Okay, my secret is out. I work with the public because I get that rush that only danger gives.

Hmmmm, so cowardice is genetic eh?

What a bunch of hogwash. There is much more to human beings than cells and chemicals....don't flatter yourselves scientists, you can only scratch the surface.

Time to go ride my motorcycle, fly my paraglider, and espouse conservative ideas around Moonbats...yeeehawwwww!

From about 17 - 21 years of age, I had a crotch-rocket rice-grinding super-bike. Rarely got on an highway in-ramp without hitting 120mph. Now I'm married with a son and drive a Lexus RX300. My how things change as you age.

I just got in paragliding this summer. Best sport ever. I only have a about 10 hours so far.

I do think there is a gene. My Granpappy started flying planes in the early 1920's. My Dad and Uncle both did 3 tours each in Vietnam Flying Jets and Helicopters.

I spent about half my life as a ski bum. Racing in Downhills, Jumping off cliffs.

If there is a gene I don't know where I got it from, no one in my immediate or extended family, except maybe distant cousins, likes risky sports.

I just started paragliding actually, am a student now, but I do have 100 hours in hang gliders, 200 hours in airplanes and sailplanes, and 90,000 miles on street bikes.

Which coast are you on. I'm in the Boston Area, and taking lessons up in New Hampshire. Up here it's not an 'If' your ever going to end up in a tree, it's when.

I'm a west coaster, California east of San Francisco. You won't hit a tree if you use good judgement, or at least the risk will be minimal. I've been told by several non bikers that a crash is inevitable....I intend to prove them wrong as many already have. People psych themselves into disaster.

True, but we have hell of lot of trees out here. The key is to pick a soft looking one. Saw one of my compadres land in one last weekend. Trashed a new Ozone.

I'm 58. Instead of new cars, I've owned 3 VW's, then old 4 banger Porches and a few rods, none of which was pristine. A friend got me into riding 7 years ago. I've had a Honda 650, a '79 Ironhead Sporty, a '91 Sporty and my main ride, an '87 Softail.

I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up.

We have to drive. It's our system. I prefer to have fun while driving and riding. Screaming down the road to get from Point A to Point B takes the joy out of the trip, for me.
