No, we have a President and Congress lacking a spine to enforce laws on the books, and willing to sell-out would-be good-paying American jobs to wage-eroding non-Americans, all for an imaginary Hispanic voting block.
In the meantime he's losing his base voting block of Americans (myself included) who want this issue dealt with. This President Bush is NOT the one I was led to believe I was voting for.

When the economy sucks the proponents of illegal immigration have other reasons to justify it. I've seen this one first hand.
All legal/illegal immigration from Mexico/Hispanic nations should be stopped cold. Give more educated people world wide a chance to live here. Ya'll are hogging up the slots and gumming up the INS paperwork for people who wait their turn to come here legally. Mexico send us the most legal immigrants too!

Thriving economy or not illegals would still be crossing because the freebies here are much better than in their homeland.
