One family sacrificed their entire savings, cashed in their retirement fund and paid for three years of Terri's therapy right after out of control freak michael beat the heck out of her because they believed him when he said he would use the money to provide for Terri and the family, build a big house where they could share in her care, etc, BEFORE he got the money, put a DO NO RESUSITATE card on Terri's chart and began the long hunt to find a killer attorney to help him.
SO NO.........One famiy gave ALL to save their dtr, INCLUDING giving that monster of a husband THEIR HOME TO LIVE IN after her injury and until he GOT THE MONEY.
HE GAVE NOTHING.
He had been CASHING in on TERRI since BEFORE her collapse. He was a job hopper, longest tenure at any job...THREE MONTHS...he depended on TERRI's salary then, and the Schindler's good will next, and the cash windfall from the lawsuit NEXT, and the the 20o,ooo he got for not being able to have sex with his partner, then he hooked up with a concubine and made kids (saying Terri would want him to be happy) EVEN as he denied her THE SMALLEST OF PLEASURES for 13 years...........no SUNSHINE upon her face, no outings, NO THERAPY, refused to give her the latest tests, etc., etc., etc.
So NO, NJ------------there is NO EQUALITY in the CASE.
It is a travesty of justice and it was a full blown murder.
So what if they are writing a book. If it helps others avoid the same fate as Terri then good for them. Not everyone is a conniving low life like Michael.
