AC, I know you were one of those, like me, reading virtually every post on the FR live threads during Katrina, listening to the scanners, watching the local and MSM video feeds, monitoring the satellite and radar images, reading the local blogs, etc. And it's rather disconcerting to think that those like you and I have a vastly better comprehension and understanding of what really happened (and when) than any of these goofballs in Congress or their staffs.
The Republican Congress would be well served if the RNC established and staffed an information gathering center that queried and drew on the resources of the conservative bloggers to generate briefs and summary analysis for Congressional staff members.
Were you as shocked as I to hear the governor didn't include Orleans Parish in the disaster proclamation?
