Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Anna Nicole Smith Case Skip directly to the full story.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith is going to the Supreme Court.

Justices said Tuesday they would consider Smith's appeal over the fortune of her 90-year-old late husband. The stripper-turned-reality television star stands to win as much as $474 million that a bankruptcy judge initially said she was entitled to.

She has not gotten any money from the estate of J. Howard Marshall II, an oil tycoon who married her in 1994 when he was 89 and she was 26. Marshall, one of Texas' wealthiest men, died in 1995.

At issue for the court is a relatively mundane technical issue: when may federal courts hear claims that are also involved state probate proceedings. But the facts of the case are eye-catching.

The 1993 Playmate of the Year and self-described "blonde bombshell" claims her husband promised her millions but that his scheming son cut her out of the estate.

The Supremes will decide 5-4 to give all the money to Robert Mugabe.

Well there is precedent for the government just to take the whole $474 million under eminent domain. I mean if raising more money is a vital public interest, what better way than just taking it.

She has a tendancy to remove her top everytime she gets in front of a podium. Could be must see testimony.

I think she'll win.

I can't believe they just didn't give her $25-50 million and settle with her so they never have to deal with her again.

As much as she disgusts me, her husband married her, she deserves what he intended for her to have. Or at least half of it. Her stepson is a greedy ass for trying to take it all. His father obviously felt something for this classless twit, whether we agree with him or not, it's not for us to say.

I agree but i don't think she should get half. IMO, as a widow she should be given some and enough to take care of her for the rest of her life. When my grandfather died he had left my father in charge of his estate, etc...and he made my dad promise that he would take care of his wife(my step-grandmother) and after his death my dad did the right thing and gave more than what my grandfather had willed to her because she was his wife and he had married her. No one in the family disagreed and everyone was happy with the settlemant arrangements. It is sad that even though Anna married the man likely for his money, he did marry her and therefore she should get some of the money.

You have to admit it is funny for her to refer to the son as "scheming"........ unless anyone believes she really was attracted to and in love with a 90+ year old man.
