I think that Cindy Sheehan might be bipolar (manic-depressive) and that the stress of losing her son has caused her to go off the deep end. I think that she is in the midst of a manic episode that has caused her to have very flawed judgement and to do outrageous things that she would not do in a normal state. According to testimonials of those who knew her personally, Ms. Sheehan has had a complete personality change since her son's death, which would bolster my theory. The manic state will not last forever, and at some point Ms. Sheehan will become very depressed. She will be horrified by her own behavior once she becomes rationally aware of it. At that point she will be at serious risk of suicide. If we do find that Ms. Sheehan is suffering from mental illness, as opposed to just being an anti-American traitor like the creeps egging her on, then we should forgive her and show compassion, provided she publicly repents her inexcusable behavior and denounces those who have made her their "useful idiot".

Lovely, heartfelt letter. I think you spoke for many.

I remember her face before Crawford. She was sitting down at a table reading a letter at one of those ''basement''. fake hearings where that idiot Conyers was in charge. It was on the'' Downing Street memo''. TOM Hayden was present . along with the usual suspects. Sheila Jackson Lee, Barney Frank and that husband of Valerie Plame was there. It was pretty pathetic! The next day it came out in the press that at that meeting they were passing around a lot of anti Semitic literature. And then bozos like Frank and others started trying to distance themselves. I'll try and find a link with pics, if you can stomach it. It was a couple of months before Crawford but I know she was probably around way before that!

Cindy does NOT speak for this family or for the vast majority of Americans!
No she doesn't but thanks to the stupidity and laziness of the media, including FoxNews the public is being made to believe that she is in the majority. Even Brit was repeating the lies on his show this evening.

It's scary that I used to say the same things as Cindy and actually believed them.
MoveOn used me as a speaker for local events as long as I blamed Bush for what happened. When I started questioning Kerry's campaign and beliefs in October they dropped me like a hot coal.
They are obviously using her as a golden goose. The RAT party preys on the weak and turns them into zombies. The inner workings of MoveOn showed me that they will grab power at all costs(including collapse of the USA) and their ultimate goal is communism. These people would be hanging from the nearest tree for treason less than a century ago.

OK thanks for the info. I just wondered how she came on the scene. It seemed like just all of a sudden, there she was. And the media promoted her really quick.

I haven't read through the rest of the posts here, but I imagine you might be able to get some support to have this published for the world to see. People need to read this letter and understand. Thank you for posting this letter.

Sheehan is running on empty and when she finally stalls she is going to be in a very dark and lonely place. Honestly, I feel for Cindy for that reason only... At this point I think only God can help her now for she is truly "in too deep" and in the arms of the "enemies".

I agree that she needs an assessment and suspect a duel diagnosis that includes personality disorder as well. It's so sad really.

I was with friend today whose Dad died this year. She went to a "grief seminar" and one thing she learned was you either grieve for the loss (with tears and sadness) or you replace it with something else. It sounds like Cindy replaced the loss of her son with her activism. It is really sad, but it's how she is dealing with her loss. I know losing one of my boys would be horrible, but I would never dishonor him so.
At the rally on Sunday one speaker read his son's last letter and mentioned Cindy won't share her son's last letter with us. I wonder what it said?
