No..what is stupid is weakkneed sissy folk who griped about FEMA's response.....WHEN THEY WENT BY THE BOOK!

WHEN THEY WERE ACTUALLY IN STAGING AREAS AND NEW ORLEANS WITH SUPPLIES BEFORE THE STORM AND TURNED BACK BY LOCAL OFFICIALS.

Brown did his job. FEMA is not a first responder. FEMA actually responded quicker than before. So having Brown is good.

What is stupid is conservatives who give into pressure and hang their own out to dry.

Brown should be in on this.

Amen! I am astonished at the number of Freepers that still believe the MSM's slander of Brown. Some are still implying he was inexperienced. Yet, at the time Katrina arrived Mike Brown was probably the most experienced organizer of disaster relief efforts for hurricanes and tropical storms on the planet.

Bravo! You are exactly right. To buy in to the nonsense that FEMA and the fed have always provided a quick response to any disaster is absurd.

The fed was ahead of the game and had already prepositioned people, equipment and supplies. The idiots in LA are by law (state and federal) the FIRST responders in ANY disaster. It is the state that must give the go ahead by request for the fed to move in and take action.

You didn't see all of these complaints coming from MS or AL when they were hit even harder by katrina than LA. Yeah, that's right, they were harder hit by that storm. Remember? NO "dodged the bullet" and the flooding was a result of their years of neglect of the levees even though they had received federal funding many times along the way to keep them up to date. You didn't see all of these problems in MS and AL because those states are run by responsible people who took prudent action and called in the fed for assistance at the proper time instead of having to "think about it for 24 hours".

Those of you who became swept up in the moment based on frantic no-knowledge reports by Sheppard Smith, and nitwit Rivera as well as the MSM that the fed (whine, moan) was not responding quickly enough are just further fueling the engine of lies perpetrated by the DNC.

Enough of the "its all the feds fault" crap, get your emotional reaction under control and consider the facts.

Thank you.

I believew you have read and watched the chronology of the Katrina fiasco.

How can a person believe Brown did not do a good job?

Four hurricanes in Fl. last year, Repub. Gov. no complaints,
Miss. Repub. Gov. no complaints.

Evan when Shep Smith and Geraldo were screaming about no food, or babies starving the food was right there and the Gov. and the Mayor stopped it from entering NO. They didn't want more people coming to the Super Dome or the Con Center, but they kept on coming

Both the Red Cross and the Salvation Army were there with food, water, some medical supplies and other needs that the people needed.

I think Brown did a good job but the media was looking for anything to blame Bush and to keep the heat off the Dems. in La.
