I agree that accidents happen and are very unfortunate. Running a gas generator in the house is not an accident, and sadly the children killed here probably had no say in the matter, even if they knew better. I'm in no way saying, "they deserved to die," as I have no authority whatsoever in passing that type of judgement.

I am saying that IMHO, deaths from carbon monoxide created by running a generator in the house are as accidental as those caused by operating a radial saw while sitting in a tub full of water. These deaths are indeed tragic, much of the tragedy being how easily preventable they were.
