Mark Roper spent two weeks in St. Gabriel, La., this month, moving the bodies of Hurricane Katrinas New Orleans victims into refrigerated trailers. After watching the steady stream of corpses, Ropers biggest surprise about the dead: almost all were elderly or homeless. Most of the dead had drowned, Roper said. Others had died of dehydration, probably caused by abandonment, he said.
He was surprised by the number of homicides people with gunshot wounds to their heads and backs.
Autopsies were performed on those victims, Roper said.

Well drowning victims have water in their lungs and homicide victims probably don't since dead people don't breathe even if they were found face down in water.
Gunshot wounds or stabbing wounds might also be a pretty good indication of homicide.
Bodies with no wounds and no water in their lungs will be classified some other way, probably dehydration.
And since this guy's specific job was storing and cataloging them onto refrigerator trucks after examination, it's a pretty good bet they had toe tags with the pertinent information for him record.
The point is from my understanding of the article he was just helping load bodies. How would he know they had water in the lungs?

That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! Thanks for the laugh!
I know you guys can use a laugh....take a look at post #41.
Now that is funny. I have to get back to my photo shopping pictures. That was fun stuff. At least I THINK this one was photo shopped.
Homicides...?

They're going fast!
Last I heard, Superdome: 4 natural deaths, 1 suicide, 1 self inflicted drug overdose, 4 bodies found outside near area of Superdome all yet to be determined causes. So far, NO murders in the Superdome, NONE.
That's what I gathered. Looks like the MSM made fools out of nearly everyone, didn't they?

It looks like the MSM (which I think of as the MSM+Hollywood) have made fools of at least themselves, again.

We had some minor flooding in Austin, TX, back in the early 80's, and an entire homeless camp disappeared. We found bodies for quite a while after that (probably 18 or 19 in the camp, so the numbers were small). Even a couple of years later, people would find a partial skull or something downstream. There's no proof they were all homeless, but that's the best guess. We did find some murder victims, also. Lots of secrets are hidden in the rivers that run through large cities.
My thoughts exactly;
don't care what he did or did not do after the hurricane,
this piece is pure commentaty without even a "three out of ten" or "most of" or even "lots" to give it any foundation.
I get my news from talk radio, and the net.
Google "newspaper layoffs", it warms my heart.
shhh! we aren't supposed to reveal that fact until the 2006 election cycle spins up.
LOL.
"That's the big question. Corpses who have been in the elements a long time are not going to look well-groomed and well-dressed. This guy is a 'Rat shill, nothing more."
The main stream media are uncritical of their sources and become useful idiots for shills like this.
