Are you suggesting Jeter wrote the letter for publicity? Anything is possible, but Clarence Thomas received a similar threat, and I doubt he'd have sent it to himself. But, one thing's for sure, whenever threats like that are faked, people are hesitant to believe the real thing.
It doesn't sound like the letter came from a "white" person because it's warning him to stop "being a traitor to his race." But I guess that's possible, too.
