"Iraqi resistance earns world's respect" [DATED SEPT. 22]...

SEPT. 24TH Images from "anti-war" should read "anti-American" demonstrations...

I WATCHED C-SPAN'S COVERAGE OF YESTERDAY'S PROTEST AND LISTENED TO MOST OF THE SPEAKERS. RAMSEY CLARK, JESSICA LANGE AND CINDY SHEEHAN WERE ABOUT THE ONLY ANGLICAN-AMERICANS, THE REST WERE MUSLIM-AMERICANS, AFRICAN-AMERICANS AND OTHERS.

THEIR COMMON THEME WAS ANTI-AMERICAN, CALLING ALL OF US RACIST, IMPERIALISTS AND UNCARING CAPITALISTS. THEY EMPHASIZED THEIR "SUPPORT THE TROOPS," BUT NOT "THE WAR ON TERROR."

THEIR MOST VOCAL DISPLAY OF HATRED, PUNCTUATED WITH PROFANITY, WAS TOWARD OUR PRESIDENT AND HIS SUPPORTERS, CALLING ALL OF US, INCLUDING THE MILITARY, "TERRORISTS," WHILE BLAMING THE USA FOR THE PLIGHT OF THE "POOR" IN NEW ORLEANS AND THE WORLD AT LARGE.

FORTUNATELY FOR THEM THEY LIVE IN A COUNTRY THAT ALLOWS THEIR FREE EXPRESSION ON WORLD WIDE TV.

BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR ALL OF US, THEIR ACTIONS AND CONDEMNATIONS OF WHAT THIS COUNTRY STANDS FOR ONLY HELPS THOSE WHO WANT TO KILL US...RTO

Obviously Ramsey Clark is trying to launch his bid for president in 2008.
Since he does not have much else to offer, he is grasping at the only thing he sees that is getting any publicity. As for Cindy Sheehan and others of the same mindset, perhaps they would be much happier living in say Iran.

Give it a try Cindy, maybe you might like their non-capitalist, non-racist and (let's not forget) their free speech societies.

Ramsey Clark is defending Saddam and Carter. Both hopeless causes.

Be wary of news reports stating that 100,000 attended the Washington anti-war rally on 24 September. That is the protesters' own number. There are NO official police numbers for the D.C. rally - the police don't officially gather them.

CNN reports 100,000 without qualification.

USATODAY AND Fox report note the 100,000 claim, but say the unofficial police estimate is 10,000.

I think this will be an easy indicator of press bias point if the 100K attendee claim goes unchallenged.

Bets on what the NYT says?

Does anyone care? Was anyone watching? It was Saturday afternoon, for goodness sake. If you were watching TV it was either football or hurricane coverage. For the majority of us, it was a non-event.
